Healthtech Improving Lives

ree

The healthcare sector must become uberized in order to fundamentally alter how it functions. A four-pronged strategy is required for India's healthcare system: higher finance, infrastructure development, accessibility, and innovation investment. Closing the gap requires the establishment of a paramedical board, the expansion of medical and nursing schools, and paramedic training. Through agencies like the NABH, a supportive regulatory environment is required for policy reforms, R&D promotion, tax simplification, and GST reform.

Envision a future shaped by emerging technologies, while striving to reconcile the growing expectations of patients in an interconnected environment with the impersonal nature of technology-driven healthcare. This endeavor must also consider the limitations imposed by budget constraints, escalating healthcare costs, and the intricate nature of new technologies, including their deployment, integration, and security challenges. The advancement of technology is essential for the evolution of healthcare and its associated services.

'Public-Private Partnerships' of the government and private entities to leverage their respective strengths, adoption of digital tools, expanding the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, and financial commitment must reach the public healthcare systems in cities and villages.

Post-COVID, a significant increase in patient engagement solutions through online for electronic records, patient advice, remote monitoring, interactions beyond geographical barriers, and identifying areas of service, especially for ICU and hospitalization, has largely impacted saving time and cost. Digital solutions help in diagnostics and remedial care in heart diseases, transplantation, and vascular and neuroscience medicine. We are using chatbots to handle basic queries.

Private hospitals are building robust hospital management systems for central teams to track, monitor, and operate chains of hospitals in multiple cities at one go. Creating a platform for both medical and non-medical staff to align with the state-of-the-art medical technology and processes to serve patients at each location increases operational efficiencies. It helps in optimizing costs and building a lean system. Engaging health professionals digitally helps in transparency, quick turn-around time, and retention programs.

For sustainability and future readiness, innovation, and cutting-edge technology in healthcare products and services, medical devices and technology, diagnostics, labs, pharma, consumables, and wellness, the industry is poised for unprecedented growth.
